I love the first falling of snow – while it is still pure and untouched!! And then from there, I must enjoy it only from the inside looking out with a roaring fireplace … of course, all of this is in my imaginary life, as it rarely snows here in mid TX!!!
Lovely, Geraldine!!

Hi Teri, It must be a “Prairie thing” growing up in Sask. in the middle of the country, we had LOTS of snow, every year. Now, out here in BC, just rain, rain and more rain in the Fall and Winter. I don’t miss winter driving but I do miss the beauty of the snow.
Hi Brian, Me too!
Hi Joe, Maybe in December eh?
Hi Becca, I would imagine the white stuff is pretty unusual in TX. You’ve conjured up a nice, warm scene, thanks!
Hi Lorraine, Yes, do send me some snowballs, better make it express post LOL.
Happy Weekend, whatever your weather may bring, G

This is a nice poem Geraldine, we have had lots of snow here…60 cm, in three days last week, and more on the way, We now have had more snow up to this point, than we had all year last year.

Nice Haiku, Geraldine! It makes me yearn for snow too.
Just today someone mentioned that he wished it would cool down and perhaps we could have some rain. This was Southeast Texas, Houston area. The temps today at noon on the car thermometer said 82F.

Hi Tony, I’m guessing where you are, the rain is the norm. I( I actually love a rainy day but not for weeks at a time. The annoying part here is no sunny breaks in between. Oh well, better to work inside I guess, no distractions out the window.
Hi Lisa, You are most welcome to some of ours.
Hi Jim, Hard to imagine it being so hot there. I can remember a long time ago when my parents took a trip to Texas in Nov. My mom went SWIMMING in the hotel’s outdoor pool. People couldn’t believe it, they thought it was much too cold. My mom thought it was great! LOL
Hi Gillena, And hugs back to you G.
Hi Joanne, You’ve nailed it Johanne. Exactly the feeling of these days. Welcome to MPP.
Hi Viya, Welcome and yes, I guess that would definitely be the case.
Hi Lady, Isn’t that nice! I love snow, even the WP kind.
Hi L, I found that in my winter snow file, isn’t it pretty? Definitely not the reality here right now.
Happy Week, G
