Haiku Reflections: Spring Rain and Warm Winds

spring rains and warm winds

This haiku and photo came to mind today as the weather continues to be warm and sunny, here in BC.

Spring’s wondrous evolution…love it!

I hope you enjoy this encore from the archives and that Spring is arriving in full force, where you are too.

Enough with that snow in the East brrrr… :(

Happy Week! :)

  1. That Maranta (prayer plant) is a cosseted house plant in England. How lovely to see it in its natural state.

    Nuts in May

  2. Geraldine, I am so envious of your greening! I can’t wait to see some color. Can you believe we had more snow showers again today? Honestly, this winter is unending! I can’t wait until the warm winds blow over Ontario!

  3. We don’t have color like that here yet but this is a great photo. The temperatures are certainly going up. Love your haiku. Love the line: spring rain and warm winds.

  4. It’s a great picture for reminding me that (maybe) spring is just around the corner. It is still bitterly cold here. Happy week to you, too.

  5. Hi Maggie, How interesting, thanks for sharing that plant info. I love these but never know names for most plants. ;)

Hi Mama Zen, Thanks for stopping in.

Hi Talon, This is a file photo, it’s brown here not green and lush as in this pic. But with the warm weather we are having and 3 days of rain on the way, I think the green is coming soon.

Hi Joe, I’m glad you liked my haiku. I can feel the warm winds…

Hi Val, Hard to believe how cold it is in so many places still, this year. I hope spring comes soon!!!

    Happy Wednesday, G

  6. We just got a gentle nudge of warming air yesterday and it was heaven. Your picture reminds me of the leaves I have been knitting. I guess I was happy to welcome in Spring in any way I could. lol Beautiful haiku as always you evoke the aura of the season with your prose. Hugs! :)
