” And outside the kitchen window, the wind blows. The earth shifts and crumbles and rearranges itself. And time goes on. “
Quote: Margaret Atwood (one of my favorite authors)

PS: I chose the winter version of my kitchen window view to accompany this wonderful quote and also to gaze upon; trying to cool off! Looking at the snow in this pic did help, albeit a teenie bit, LOL. It’s been +35C for several days now, here in Interior BC.
The good news: much needed rain is finally on the way. 🙂

Margaret Atwood is almost godlike in my view. I can’t believe it’s 35 degrees where you are. Is that the temp it usually gets to? And that photo – I am in love with it. It’s like a Christmas card. Oh, I want to live where you live!

I love Atwood, and I adore snow, so you score big points with me today on both counts!
LOVELY photo from your window…

I’m ready for the hot hot hot to leave. Hope we get a nice long autumn here (southernmost tip of Canada). I had a taste of the Interior heat, too. Someone once told me that area is the northernmost end of the Sonoran Desert – so that must explain the heat!

If that crisp scene doesn’t cool you down, nothing will (well, maybe an air conditioner would).

Snow is starting to look good to me. I like to see each season come, and am ready by the time one is done for the next.
Very lovely view.
We are very chilly here in Maine right now.

I love that view, Geraldine. After a long day in the car, I needed that!

Hi Selma, Margaret Atwood is godlike to many people; I’ve been an admirer of her work since she wrote Edible Woman….and I have continued to follow her work for all these years. Just recently read Moral Disorder and enjoyed this one very much. Her setting of Toronto for so many of her novels adds to the enjoyment for me.
No, the weather is drastically changing here, the effects of global warming at a faster than the national average rate for Canada. It’s been way too hot for me but the rain has now arrived and what a blessing. How is the weather in Australia right now, during your winter? I know of many people who have visited there and they talked about the brutal heat. 😦
Hi Sallee, Glad I did! Thanks friend. 🙂
Hi Deborah, As I said above, the weather here in Interior BC is changing dramatically and at an alarming rate. Plus 35 was practically unheard of a few years ago, now we have weeks of that hot, dry weather. So uncomfortable and so dangerous with the forest fire threat. I’m guessing the firefighters are singing halleluia as the rain pours down tonight!!!
Hi Jason, It’s interesting how a photo can have such an effect but I really do feel a bit cooler looking at a snow pic!!!
Hi Sandy, And my fav season is next, autumn! I say, bring it on too….
Hi Sandy C, I’m guessing you are home, right? Glad you had a safe journey and it was great you stayed in touch while on your vacation via posts and email.
Thanks for your comments, most appreciated, G

Yes, Geraldine, the world heals itself and forgives and renew and the sands, or the snow are always ready for our footprints, like the fresh pages for our words.
I wish you well.
