PS: I chose the winter version of my kitchen window view to accompany this wonderful quote and also to gaze upon; trying to cool off! Looking at the snow in this pic did help, albeit a teenie bit, LOL. It’s been +35C for several days now, here in Interior BC.
The good news: much needed rain is finally on the way. 🙂

Margaret Atwood is almost godlike in my view. I can’t believe it’s 35 degrees where you are. Is that the temp it usually gets to? And that photo – I am in love with it. It’s like a Christmas card. Oh, I want to live where you live!

I’m ready for the hot hot hot to leave. Hope we get a nice long autumn here (southernmost tip of Canada). I had a taste of the Interior heat, too. Someone once told me that area is the northernmost end of the Sonoran Desert – so that must explain the heat!

Hi Selma, Margaret Atwood is godlike to many people; I’ve been an admirer of her work since she wrote Edible Woman….and I have continued to follow her work for all these years. Just recently read Moral Disorder and enjoyed this one very much. Her setting of Toronto for so many of her novels adds to the enjoyment for me.
No, the weather is drastically changing here, the effects of global warming at a faster than the national average rate for Canada. It’s been way too hot for me but the rain has now arrived and what a blessing. How is the weather in Australia right now, during your winter? I know of many people who have visited there and they talked about the brutal heat. 😦

Hi Deborah, As I said above, the weather here in Interior BC is changing dramatically and at an alarming rate. Plus 35 was practically unheard of a few years ago, now we have weeks of that hot, dry weather. So uncomfortable and so dangerous with the forest fire threat. I’m guessing the firefighters are singing halleluia as the rain pours down tonight!!!
