I captured this breathtaking evening sky a few nights ago; photo taken from our back deck. A fleeting moment to stop and savor all it’s splendour.
There is truly something so special and spellbinding in a glorious sunset.

A beautiful sunset is like a signature with a promise of more beautiful days to come. It reminds me of the old saying, “Red sky at night, sailor’s delight”. You have a most beautiful view from your window!

Such a georgous view. I love the “tween” times of day when everything seems so magical. 🙂

Hi Ann, A sunset is like a signature; painted in the sky that is awaiting the start of a new day. This pic was from our back porch and I had to hurry to catch the moment! 😉
Hi Ruinwen, Tween times are some of the best!
Hi Carrie, The sunrises and sunsets of our days remind us of the grander things don’t they?
Hi Jason, Thanks so much!
Hi Mary, I agree!!!
Hi Tammy, Oh, those are wonderful thoughts for the end of the day.
Hi Chris, It is a nice view, I have to agree. Have you ever visited BC; it’s one of our most beautiful provinces by far.
Hi Selma, Standing there, looking at this glorious night sky, I felt transported and peaceful. I have to take time to do this more often. It was the dramatic dark and light tones and the pink designs swirling in the sky that captivated me.
Thanks so much and I hope you all stop to enjoy tonight’s sunset, wherever you are. Hugs, G

This is wonderful, Geraldine. When I see skies like this, I feel calm and safe and happy. Such views remind me that the world is a vast and beautiful place and that the light will come again, truly. Very beautiful.
Do you participate in Skywatch Friday? I wish you would. The site is skyley.blogspot.com.

Wow – great sunset indeed. I suppose it’s because it’s so fleeting that we are compelled to stand and watch until the red fades into darkness again.

Geraldine,
Indeed, the sunset always does.
God’s master piece painted in the evening horizon that change its hue every day – always unique. Out of the million sunsets(and sunriese, too) There’s no two moments that ever looked the same. God is good with surprises – it is us human who ignores his many simple surprises.
I wish you well.
