I thought a “breath of spring” might be nice, right about now. It’s snowing today, here in BC. And as much as I love winter, I am also looking forward to spring. 🙂

This haiku poem and photo is also part of my Write-A-Book Challenge  (Haiku Journal).

  1. I am so close to smelling the spring in your words!

  2. The photo and haiku are lovely but here in Calif, spring is trying to get a foothold already. Too soon! Winter still has a little while to go.

Mind you, if I was in your cold and snow, I’d be……..moving to Calif. I’m a wimp.

  3. My precious flowers are frozen in unexpected ice! Well, it wasn’t unexpected. But surprising anyway. We don’t get that sort of weather here much. Stay warm.

  4. Nothing says Spring more than a tulip. Beautiful colours, beautiful words!

  5. Looking forward to seeing those!

  6. What a wonderful splash of color to the eyes! Spring revealed – yes. Except I’m not ready yet. We’re going skiing today; there’s still that! PS I’m working on a new piece for the challenge; hopefully it will be ready by the first week. Nothing like a little motivation….

  7. Thank you for your words and hues of spring to come. right now I find it hard to imagine as we shovel loads of ice. …I love the scent of spring…beautiful image. 🙂

  8. I am definitely awaiting the scent of spring! Hopeful words and colorful photo!

  9. I am so ready for spring! Beautiful post.

  10. Lovely!
If we had some snow, I wouldn’t mind winter quite so much….but we just get cold, winds, and ice.

  12. Perfect. The writing exudes warmth and abundance. I especially like this today – weather has been gray, chilly, and dismal here – your blog a spot of sunshine in my day per usual. Thanks & hugs!

  13. Hi SandyC, There is a special scent in spring as the earth comes to life again. I love it!

Hi Carrie, You a wimp, unthinkable!!! 😉

Hi Brenda, They looked so sad, over at your blog. Yikes, that must have been an unexpected sight. 😦

Hi Selma, For me, its the crocus and the tulip that really are the sights of spring’s beginnings. Always lovely.

    Hi Jason, Me too.

Hi Christine, I hope you had a great time skiing.

Hi Ruinwen, We had a lot of snow this year too, I am loving it!

Hi Sue, Ah…spring is always such a hopeful time, isn’t it?

    Hi Sandy, Thank you Sandy!

Hi Sallee, I don’t like strong winds. I totally agree, snow good, cold and wind baaaaaaaaaaad. LOL

Hi Lissa, It won’t be too much more of a wait, will it?

Hi Kayt, You are so kind. Thanks dear K.

Thank you for your continued support, much appreciated, G

  14. Hi G,
It’s Feb. and too sunny. My bulbs are peeping their stalks out of my beds. This was a lovely breath of spring, but how do I get my bulbs to stay put? lol

  15. BEAUTIFUL tulips! Here in So Cal we’re finally experiencing a bit of winter with a series of rainstorms passing through. My daffodils and irirs have already sent up shoots because of the warm weather we’ve had this winter so I’m not sure what will happen to them. Tulips won’t grow here because it doesn’t get cold enough.
    Hugs and blessings,
