Almost Wordless Wednesday: Capture the Moment.

DSCN1281

On Monday, I went back to take another look at this beautiful flower bush; hoping to find a plant tag with the name of it. I had taken this photo only a week earlier.

But what a difference 7 days can make. 😦

The flowers were now so withered and dried out; if I hadn’t known where to look, I would never have figured out this was actually the same plant.

Isn’t that usually the way with life and each of our experiences? If we don’t stop to “capture the moment” when it comes, it’s more often than not, gone forever. And then, everything changes. Change can be good but sometimes it comes quicker than we’d like or in ways we didn’t plan (usually the case, right?)

♥♥

PS: If anyone knows the name of this flowering bush, please let me know. And yes, I’m planning to write a haiku for this one too. It’s too pretty to resist.

PSS: I may be off-line for a few days. Some “issues” have come up here. Another tough challenge to face. 😦  Enough said.

Do send your good thoughts, prayers and vibes our way, thanks. We sure need them...

    – said it is “rhododendron” – it looks the same

I hope whatever you are facing will work out fine

  3. Geraldine, that’s a rhododendron. I love what you said about capturing the moment. I have thought of that often when I have waited to long to take a picture of a flower that is in its glory, and like you, related it to life.

I hope things go well with whatever it is. Hugz and prayerz.

  4. I thought that looked like a Rhody. A gorgeous capture! I can almost smell the pink!

  5. Prayers, good thoughts and good vibes being sent your way. I hope that the challenge is easily met.

  6. Lovely pictue of flower bush…Great show..

  7. Hope you’re OK, G.

I can imagine fairies frolicking in the beautiful pink of that plant. It is stunning. The colours that exist in nature are glorious, aren’t they?

  8. Thanks to all of you for your kind words and good thoughts. We’ve had a bit of “breakthrough” as of this morning; more good news to come hopefully by early next week.

Keep sending the positive energy our way OK, most appreciated. 🙂

    I’ll keep you posted.

    Love you all, Hugs, G

  9. These are beautiful rhodie blossoms, Geraldine. God bless.

  10. Beautiful photo, Geraldine, and so true what you’re saying about capturing the moment. It’s sad when you look at flowers, beautiful today, gone tomorrow… It’s somehow reassuring though to think of the fruit or the seeds that replace the blooms in a continuing cycle. I’m not sure if it’s quite the same with our moments, although there is some sort of growth in everything…

Many, many hugs and good wishes! 🙂
