(Almost) Wordless Wednesday:Trust Yourself

” As soon as you trust yourself, you will know how to live.”

Simple yet profound words.  I am embracing this concept, more and more, as time passes. Trusting my own instincts. Not second guessing, not always  “nit-picking” every decision. Flexible but at the same time, not afraid to stick to my convictions. It’s a good feeling.

I chose this tulip pic because for me, tulips always look like such strong, sturdy flowers. They are beautiful and unique, yet they are resilient and stable too. They stand firm, relatively unscathed and unperturbed by the wind and the rain.

Qualities we can all reach for and appreciate.

Author of the quote: unknown. Certainly a wise person.

PS: I have a new post over at Veggies… too, explaining what I’ve been working on (and accomplishing) during my recent computer meltdown. It’s amazing what can still be done with a mere pen and a notebook!

PSS: I know it’s Tuesday. I’ve been behind on so many fronts, due to my computer meltdown. Thought I’d post this a day ahead to help with the  catch-up. 😉

  2. yes, great words to live by but it certainly takes time to get use to

  3. I just been to your other blog. I’m pretty sure it is working for you Geraldine. So wonderful!

  4. So beautiful–and just the words I need to sleep well tonight!

  5. The quote is quite profound and I couldn’t agree more about tulips. They are strong and delicate at the same time. I have always been enchanted by them!

  6. What a beautiful and true quote…but not easy words to live by. *hugs* 🙂

  7. Hi Nathelie, I really enjoyed visiting your “word of the day” blog again. What a great idea, to incorporate with poems and photos. Thanks for stopping by.

Hi Lissa, We are works in progress, aren’t we?

Hi Sandy, Thanks Sandy, I appreciate your kind words.

    Hi Sandy C, I wish you a wonderful week of zzzz’s a plenty. I’m an insomniac, I appreciate a good snooze!!! 😉

Hi Sel, Tulips and pansies, they both make me smile. But it’s the strength mixed with fragility that I love in tulips. Not to mention the dazzling array of colors. Prefer to roses actually. I agree about the quote.

Hi Ruinwen, It’s one worth striving for isn’t it? Hang in there friend.

    Hugs and Happy Mid-Week, G

  8. I love the quote and it is so true. I also love what you wrote on your post about not always nit picking and second guessing everything- that is a really good way to live. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
