Haiku Reflections: Cool, Clear Water

It’s finally a bit cooler here today. I’m feeling a lot more energetic.

I took this photo yesterday, at one of our local “falls”. Just gazing at this cool water for a few minutes, helped.

I’m on a sewing and knitting spree right now. Made some curtains already this week and a shirt for Joe is on it’s way (for his birthday, coming soon)! Also working on a knitted shawl. I’ll share a pic or two over at Veggies….when complete.

Hope you are all finding relief from the heat.

What’s your favorite way to chill?

PS: I had a little glitch on this photo, accidentally had the stamp date set  ON my camera. Can you find my “painterly” edit? 😉

  1. now that water looks very cool and refreshing. it’s something i can see me taking my shoes off for and tousling the water. happy birthday to your husband. hope he has a wonderful day (when it arrives). have a great day.

  2. No, I can’t see it at all. I figured how to turn the date off in my camera, eventually.
It is cooler here now, too, thank goodness.

We must be on the same wave length. I am feeling more like sewing and quilting lately than working outdoors.

  3. It does. And this makes me long for darkness. Thank you, Geraldine.

  4. How lovely that you have waterfalls in your area. I would love that. They are so tranquil. Glad the heat has eased a bit.

  5. I can’t see your “painting” at all. Lovely photo.

It’s nice and cool today – at least it was this morning – but my favorite way to cool off on a hot day is to eat chilled watermelon. YUM.

  6. Hi Naquillity, So nice to see you again. I’ll send along your wishes to Joe.

Hi SandyL, I am knitting and sewing up a storm right now. My hands got tired from knitting so much actually. 😉 What are you making?

Hi Sandy C, Another “corker” on the way here today. 😦 NOT my kind of weather but what can one do?

Hi Sel, I’m going to doing some fall-gazing again today. They are getting rather low, rain needed for so much, including replenishing the streams, lake…You have so many beautiful spots in Australia that I’d love to see too.

Hi Carrie, Will you share? 😉 sounds so fresh and cool.

    Happy Weekend, G

  7. PS: The painting edit is right under the “cool clear water” line in the poem.

  8. Geraldine.
Thanks for stopping by. I love your visits.
My favorite way to chill is to hike and then to swim. Takes the energy out of me, and that is good.

  9. Lovely…my favorite way to chill is in the AC! We use it a lot this time of year…
    (((hugs)))

  10. Hi Sandy and Sallee, I tend to lean towards your chill method Sallee. Hiking!!! Wow Sandy, I can barely walk to the fridge when it’s really hot. 😦

Hugs to both of you, G
