Washed By The Rain…

…the brilliant colors of nature, come to life.

Plants and flowers and trees, refreshed and renewed.

The rain finally stops.

A stillness envelopes the air.

And left behind, such wonders.

We take the time to stop and stare.

  1. I do like a good after the rain walk. I think seeing everything wet or covered in raindrops is quite soothing. as if mother nature had just done her laundry and is now drying them in the sun.

hope you are enjoying your day no matter the weather.

  2. Wow. We should take time to stop and stare and to enjoy nature. Everything looks so fresh after the storm.

  3. The rain only made this shot better. I went out this morning in the rain, too.

  4. Hi Lissa, Oh what a lovely metaphor! Mother Nature does indeed do a great job of the laundry. Nice to see you again.

Hi Joe, I love the way everything looks so fresh, clean and vibrant, after the rain.

Hi Sandy, Sounds like you are having similiar weather on the other coast. I’ve been reading about the heat wave in the states (South) and it sounded so bad. I hope it doesn’t move up here. I am loving the cool, fresh days.

    Happy Week, G :<)

  5. Rain does wonders for mother nature!
So wish we had some here as we need it badly!

    Loved this, Geraldine…and gorgeous photo!

  6. You’re right. There is a stillness after the rain. We’ve had a very wet weekend and in the brief moments where the rain has stopped there is a stillness and a sense of cleansing. I love it!

  7. Beautiful thoughts, words and image! Just beautiful.

  8. Hi Margie, I hope some rain falls in your area soon. It’s been exceptionally wet here, I love it but apparently some people’s gardens are paying the price, toooo soggy!

Hi Selma, And you are heading into winter, how amazing to think of, with summer just around the corner here. I love that stillness before and after the rain, so peaceful.

Hi Teri, Thank you so much friend.

    Happy Week, G
