  1. Sounds like your time off did you good! have a great weekend.

  2. There is something about water that leads to contemplation and serenity for me. Absolutely beautiful, G.

  3. It is beautiful and perfect for a Summer day’s reflection.

  4. That’s what summer does. If only we could stay there!

  5. I like this tanka poem, very much. Very tranquil and soothing. brings out inner thoughts.

  6. Hi SandyL, I did get quite a bit done!

Hi Sel, The lure of water, it seems to be a universal pull for so many people, including me. It does bring peace and contemplation, I agree.

    Hi Teri, Thanks Teri!

Hi SandyC, Every season brings it’s own particular aspects for renewal I believe. For me, it’s the autumn most of all, the brilliant colors and the slowing pace in nature.

    Hi Joe, I agree.

    Happy week, G 🙂

  7. Great words for a soothing place.

  8. A beautiful peaceful tanka, Geraldine. 🙂 I would stay here and dream along with the others.
    ..
BTW, we are in the midst of our annual Shakespear Festival here in Houston. Our Miller Outdoor Theatre is performing (free) the Taming of the Shrew this year. I won’t be able to attend because of my knee replacement recovery (three weeks ago today I had the surgery).

  9. Beautifully written- we all need that time for our spirits to be renewed and restored; so imortant for the soul! A midsummer day will certainly do that!!! Hope all is well!!!

  10. Hi Tony, Nice to see you again and thank you!

Hi Jim, Thank you for your kind words. I hope you are on the mend. Take care of yourself friend.

Hi Patti, We do indeed. I started to think about the word “midsummer” and this is the result. I like being inspired by a single word or phrase. 🙂

    Hugs and Happy Wed. G
