  1. What a good feeling! This makes me remember, too.

  2. Even now a tree like that will connect me to that singular feeling of summer….very nice.

  3. This brings summers past to mind, in a good way. Love the haiku. Goes so well with the scene in the photo.

  4. So true, that memories of summer in childhood often involve looking up through the lovely, refreshing leaves of trees. This is a wonderful photo, and nice words indeed!
Thanks for this uplifting post which promises the delights of summer to come.

  5. Hi SandyL, So nice to read this! 🙂

Hi Christine, I have such a connection to trees and childhood memories too. We would: climb trees, look up through the leaves, build treehouses and birch-bark toy canoes (amazing I found one canoe intact recently!)…I’m so glad you liked this work.

Hi Joe, Good memories, I agree. We may have been gazing up through the same trees at times, back then. 😉

Hi Brenda, Yes, bring it on. Another gloomy day today. 😦 It’s like this winter is never going to end. Not that I don’t usually like winter, but give me some sun pleeeease!!! LOL

Happy Weekend and Welcome Haiku Heights visitors. I loved this prompt! G 🙂

  6. Loved looking up at the sky through the trees when I was young. Still do. Thanks for the memory.

  7. What lovely memories ~ Idyllic and innocent without the cares of the world … as it should be! 😀
