Some Helpful Tips for Organizing a Poetry Collection

I am finally getting a collection of my poems compiled as a book. Selected poems I’ve written between 2000-2010.

It’s a project I’ve had on the back-burner for a long time. I am really enjoying the process of re-reading and selecting poems for this collection. I’m planning to use LuLu to complete the process of creating my book. I know of a lot of people who have used LuLu and were very happy with the results.

I recently noted this previous post about organizing a manuscript (showed up again in my top 5 posts, several days) that specifically gives tips about poetry collections. It was helpful to re-read this advice. I hope it is for visitors to MPP that might also be working on a poetry collection.

On another topic: My novel is NOT forgotten but I have been taking a break from it for a bit. That’s next on the list….in addition to a gazillion other projects I have on the go or am thinking about starting.

Never enough time in the day, is there? If only we could ditch sleep. LOL. 😉

Happy Writing  (and organizing, selecting, editing… too) . 🙂

    Hi Joe, Thanks dear Joe.

Hi Brian, Yes, some very helpful hints in that post.

Hi Deb, Lulu is great. I’ve seen several books created there and I was impressed. They have excellent tutorials too. Prices reasonable as well. You might want to check this out for yourself.

    Happy Weekend, G 🙂

  6. looking forward to it. 11 years of poetry implies many bends and twists in the journey and makes for a layered read. that’s a real gift to the reader and yourself.

  7. A good collection it will be. Please do let me know when book is published.

And please don’t ditch sleep. Eat well, sleep well …. dream well.
