  1. ah true…too often we let the beauty pass us by…or us pass it by busy going somewhere…glad you caught it…smiles.

  2. It is a magnificent tree. Awesome haiku too.

  3. Oh I love trees, I never overlook them more often than know I chat a bit and take its photo, one advantage of walking is you see so much more…x

  4. Hi Brian, Isn’t it easy to bypass the “stop and smell the roses” moments in life. I’m learning those are very important too.

Hi Joe, A lot prettier in reality with all the dazzling colored leaves and pretty fanned-out branches. I’m glad you liked the haiku. 🙂

Hi Lorraine, Good plan. You really do miss a lot when you are driving all the time, I agree.

    Happy Weekend and Holidays, G

  5. Oh, Such a beautiful tree!
    Excellent Haiku.

  6. That last line is so true, sadly.

  7. i love trees Geraldine; thank you for sharing your beautiful moment;
    much love…

  8. Hi Harshad, Thanks for your kind words.

Hi Tony, It’s something I’m working on, and not just when it comes to trees. 😉

Hi Gillena, Great to see you at OSI today and thanks friend.

Hi Sandra, So glad you enjoyed it.

    Happy Week, G

  9. That’s a beautiful tree and your haiku is so true – we all too often pass by and don’t stop to appreciate what’s around us.

  10. It’s lovely to stop and enjoy the beauty nature offers us. Thank you for reminding us of this!

  11. 🙂 You have found lovely tree to write your nice haiku about, Geraldine.
For sure we need to take time to stop and enjoy what wonders Mother
Nature has in store for us.
    ..

  12. We do often take for granted these magical beings, trees. Until someone starts taking them down for no apparent reason. Then much sadness spreads like the arms of the tree.

  13. Hi Rae, Welcome to MPP and thanks for your kind words.

Hi Write Girl, You’re most welcome!

Hi Jim, It’s a glorious tree in reality, the kind that does stop you in your tracks for a longer look. Thanks friend.

Hi Lisa, Amen to that. It really bothers me seeing trees cut down or pruned beyond recognition. That happened to a gorgeous maple tree close to where we live. It bothered me for days afterwards, every time I looked at the shorn mess the ‘arbourist” had left behind. 😦

Hug a tree today, it’s still a great thing to do. 😉

    Hugs from me too, G
