  1. Geraldine, that pop of color is so welcome to my winter-weary eyes! My tulips are just thrusting out their first green stalks…reluctantly, I might add. I can’t wait to see them in bloom. I planted some white ones (one of my mother’s favorite varieties) two years ago and they enjoy bumping up against the red ones I already had. 🙂

  2. This is perfect to welcome Spring. Love the haiku too.

  3. oo la la I love this 🙂

  4. Beautiful. I can’t wait to see our tulips but spring hasn’t arrived yet.

  5. A beautiful picture! It does feel like we may have turned the corner to Spring!

  6. bright awakening…that says it all doesnt it…lovely entrance to spring…..beautifuk pic too

  7. Hi Talon, After all the rain and snow you had in the East this year, I’m sure your garden and yard will be a blaze of color. It all balances out in nature eventually, doesn’t it? 😉

    Hi Joe, Thanks dear.

Hi Lorraine, And thanks for the great prompt to inspire me L. 🙂

Hi Val, No tulips here either and how I love tulips. But it won’t be long now. Springtime in the Rockies comes very early, compared to my where I was born on the Prairies. We often had snow there into May.

Hi Laughwithme, Thank you! And so nice to have you join us at Woven Dreams today too.

Hi Brian, Thanks so much Brian.

Wishing you all a happy week filled with lots of sunshine and good things, G

  8. Lovely tulip; I hope we will see ours soon. *fingers crossed* I certainly am ready to “Welcome Spring!”. 🙂

  9. Nice picture and ode to Spring. It’s about time to leave the cold and look forward to warm days and new growth.

  10. Yes, I can feel Spring coming where I am, too. It’s been a long, long Winter.

  11. Very pretty haiku verse, Geraldine. Tulips are one of my favorite flowers in spring.

  12. The perfect prompt for those of us thinking ‘spring’! Love the photo and your haiku.

  13. Hi Ruinwen, Aren’t we all! It’s still a bit chilly here (by BC standards LOL, about 5C here today) and it’s gray and overcast. Bring on that sunny warmth. Hope it arrives for you soon too my friend.

Hi Rob, So true. Thanks for your kind words.

Hi Tony, More so than usual I think Tony, for so many areas of the world. The Eastern part of Canada and the US really got pummelled this year. 😦

Hi Joyce, Thanks so much Joyce, I love, love, LOVE tulips, all colors and from the garden, florist or stores. They always make me smile.

Hi Teri, Thanks so much Teri. it was a fun prompt to work with, so many interesting interpretations this week, so far and hopefully a
    few more to come too.

    Happy Week, G 🙂
