Festival of Flowers: A Beautiful Begonia?

I’m hopeless with flower names.

I THINK this is a begonia. Anyone know for sure?

It’s sure pretty, whatever kind of flower it is! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Created for this week’s Festival of Flowersย .

Come join us and share/enjoy all that floral beauty!

  1. Looks like a rose, but some begonias look very similar to roses.

  2. Looks like a double begonia, Geraldine. Best part – they look like roses, but you don’t have to put up with the thorns. ๐Ÿ™‚ Mind you, they don’t have that wonderful fragrance, but they are gorgeous. Pink is my fav and that is a gorgeous macro.

  3. I think this is a begonia too. What a wonderful photo, so pretty.

  4. Hmmm I’m not 100% sure but I believe it is a begonia. It’s a beautiful bloom, Geraldine, it really cheers the soul. Here’s hoping you have a great weekend.

  5. Hi Rose, That I do know, it wasn’t a rose. I love your name btw! I love flower names in general actually, think it’s such a cool idea.

Hi Talon, Isn’t this an incredible pink, kind of a salmon pink in reality. Thanks for the nice compliment.

Hi Joe, Me too but as I said above, I’m never sure with plant names. LOL

Hi Val, I think all flowers cheer the soul Val. And a great weekend back to you too!

    Hugs, G

  6. What a gorgeous flower – the color is amazing! Thanks so much for sharing this – it put a smile on my face. I hope you have a great weekend. ๐Ÿ˜€

  7. It does look like a begonia, Geraldine, but I’m no expert. It sure is gorgeous, though. I’m becoming more into taking photos of flowers these days, too! They’re just so “friendly!” Have a wonderful weekend! Lauren

  8. It’s gorgeous Geraldine and I also have no idea what it is other than that it’s beautiful and you took a stunning shot of it. Love the colour! ๐Ÿ˜€

  9. Hi Jackie, I agree, the color is amazing. I’m glad this pic made you smile. ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi Lauren, So nice to see you again. They are friendly, I agree. I know exactly what you mean. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Hi Sonel, I took this photo with my old “point and shoot” camera and I remember the day I took it, it was just after a rainstorm, so everything looked lush and fresh. I’m so glad you enjoyed this flower!

    Happy Week, G
