Haiku Reflections: A Walk in the Rain

for rainy days post

A haiku and photo I shared at my blog: Take A Happy Break (no longer active) a while back.

Thought it was perfect for this upcoming Sunday’s  prompt:

Rainy Days

over at Woven Dreams.

This will be the last week for prompts at Woven Dreams. 😦

I just don’t have time to host 4 blogs, with all my other current pursuits.

I’ll be keeping: Veggies, Yarns & Tails, My Poetic Path and My Real Life Reviews going though! 😉

Hosting and participating at Woven Dreams has been a real pleasure.

Thanks to everyone who participated each week.

I REALLY   reading all your posts each week!

Also sharing with the Festival of Flowers.

Share your summer floral photos; come join us! 🙂

Happy Weekend to All.

  1. It’s beautiful and that’s what I was going to say, perfect prompt for rainy days, but then again who says you can only post it on Sunday

  2. Both a lovely haiku and photo, Geraldine!

Yes, it’s been raining here as well, but I love the rain 🙂

    Have a beautiful weekend!

  3. Beautiful flowers and haiku! Thanks for sharing and participating in the Festival of Flowers weekly challenge again this week. Although I’m sad to see the Woven Dreams Prompt go I do understand why. Thanks for hosting it – I loved participating. ♥ 😀

  4. Hi Lorraine, I love a rainy day, any day! We need rain here so badly, it’s so dusty right now. 😦

Hi Ron, Thanks so much. A great weekend to you too.

Hi Jackie, I’m sad about WD too but the participation was waning and it does take up a lot of time having multiple blogs, as you know. something had to give. I really enjoyed the experience of hosting WD though, read some great work each week, from participants. And thanks for participating on a regular basis there too!

    Happy Weekend, G

  5. Well looks like we’re getting your share of it, finally today no rain, but nice and cool, Fall’s on the way early this year, I like it..whoa what did I miss is tomorrow the last prompt? although I always did it badly I enjoyed it but with your schedule I understand is so rainy day’s the last one…well besides my lack of HTML I truly enjoyed it.

  6. So pretty, Geraldine! Sorry about Woven Dreams…with my shoulder injury I’ve had to limit my computer time and haven’t been able to create work for it… Mind, you do have a lot on your plate Geraldine. Put your energies in places that make you happy.

  7. i am sorry to see it go…though i understand…it takes a lot of work to keep a prompt site going….
love the picture….the soft delicate petals and the contrast to the rocks…

  8. Hi Lorraine, This is actually your prompt, for tomorrow. 😉 I can’t wait for the rain to start here. So much dust, it’s hard to breathe some days. 😦

Hi Kim, Sorry to hear about your shoulder injury, I hope you’re on the mend. I do have a lot of projects on the go and something(s) had to give. And there are lots of good prompt blogs out there when time permits.

Hi Brian, It really does. A bit of cash too, paying for Mr. Linky, not that I minded that. I think we had a fun group over at WD and it was nice all the interaction that went on some weeks. To me, that’s what prompt blogs should be about. Not just posting something and that’s the end of it. I see that happen at some prompt sites too.

    Happy Week, G

  10. Thank you for visiting my blog. I love the photo here and the words that accompany it so well. You sound like a busy person so I can see why it would be hard to host a prompt site. Still, I’m sorry I never participated. I sure like the title you gave it.

  11. Very pretty. I love a good wet walk in or after a cool summer rain, especially taking my shoes off and walking through wet grass, or along the gutter or curb where it has settled and flows. 🙂 I will post mine tomorrow. Sorry to see the fun end, but I think we all get busy with other projects or things that need to take precedence over the immediate, so I completely understand. 🙂

  12. I wish it would rain. This is a wonderful haiku and photo for the last week of Woven Dreams. Only so much time in the day, I can understand why you have to cut a bit back on blogging, with all your other work.

  13. It is beautiful Gerladine. Now if it would only rain!!!

  14. Hi Myrna, Welcome to MPP! I’m sorry that I had to end Woven Dreams too. We had some fun weeks over there. Thanks for your kind words!

Hi Joyce, I love walking in the rain too. I like your description, walking barefoot on the wet grass, what a great feeling that is.

Hi Joe, I wish it would rain too. But looks like it’s on the way.

Hi Teri, Yes indeed! I’m guessing it’s dry where you are too?

    Happy Week, G
