RIP Lou Reed

Sad to read of Lou Reed’s passing this past week at age 71.

He was a legend in the music world for such a long time.

Joining quite a band on the other side though. 🙂

I wish him a safe journey into the light.

One of my all time favorite songs: Walk on the Wild Side .

That sexy voice and unmistakable style, will live on forever.

  1. It was sad. You eulogized him perfectly, Geraldine.

  2. As in ‘You’ll never find, another Love like mine’? I loved walk on the wild side but I had no idea it was Lou Reed unless I’m thinking about someone entirely different either way indeed RIP and thanks for the info, great remembrance of this wonderful singer

  3. and no different men my Lou Reed was black.,.still loved Walk on the Wild Side

  4. OOps again, mine was Lou Rawls…still RIP Lou Reed

  5. Your tribute to Lou is lovely. A lot of the greats are leaving us… Nigel Davenport has gone, too, according to today’s news.

  6. “He was a legend in the music world for such a long time.”

He sure was, Geraldine! And you’re right…..an unmistakable style all his own!

    RIP Lou Reed.

  7. Hi Kim, Thanks Kim. He had one of the sexiest singing voices I’ve ever heard. I bet those angels are having a listen now. 😉

Hi Lorraine, Walk on the Wild Side was probably his most famous song. And yes, Lou Rawls is a black man, hopefully he’s still with us here on Earth, not sure though. I love his voice and music too. 🙂

Hi Val, Thanks Val. I’m not familiar with Nigel Davenport though.

Hi Ron, He certainly was. And amen, may he RIP. But hopefully still enjoying that heavenly beat!!! 😉

    Hugs to All, G
