screen free week

You can read my post about this global movement here.

This is NOT about using computers for work or essentials.

But it is about not using a screen of any kind for entertainment purposes for this upcoming week.

A great time to reconnect  on a deeper level with family, friends and nature.

This was PERFECT timing for me so I’m in!

If You Are Too….

Happy Screen- Free Week. 😉

  1. good luck to those who try this… i won’t be able to participate as i’m addicted to my screens (computer & tv), sigh… hope all is well. have a great day~

  2. I think this is an AWESOME idea, Geraldine, but I doubt I will be able to do this. I week a long time.

However, I will be very busy at work this week with Mother’s Day, working a lot of hours, so I won’t be online as much as I normally am.

Have a super Sunday, my friend!

  3. Oooh what would I do without my screens. They help with my work, my leisure, and my pleasure.

  4. I think this is an excellent idea. I hope a lot of people participate. Kids in particular seem to be spending way too much time online and playing with gadgets now, instead of being outdoors and getting lots of exercise like we did years ago. It’s not a healthy way to live for anyone.

  5. I’m kind of addicted too Naquillity especially when it comes to my Kindle! But I do think a break is a great idea and I have lots of other offline projects that I’ve been wanting to work on. Now I will have a lot more time to do just that.

Don’t work too hard Ron! I can imagine how busy retail is with Mom’s Day on the way. 😉 Good luck with all that and a super week back to you!

I’ll still be online for an hour every day Val, just to check in with my emails and a couple of other things I have to get done this week. But I’m going to try hard to stick to the 1 HOUR!!! And to stay off my kindle too, that’s going to be tough. I love my Kindle. 😉

Yes, kids sure need to be reminded to get outdoors more, it seems. When I see very young kids glued to TV and computer screens, it makes me sad. Not a good thing for anyone, especially for young children.

    Happy Week to All, G
