black like me

I re-read (as the updated Griffin Estate Edition) Black Like Me, this past week.

This was a book that touched me deeply as a teenager and even more so now, reading it as an adult.

You can read more about this new estate edition in my review at:

I recently published the second volume of my new vegetarian cookbook series: The Groovy Green Kitchen (Volume 2): Simply, Super, Supper Soups and my inspirational, pro-active and fun book/eBook, all about aging well: Laughing AT the Grim Reaper! Gems of Wisdom for Aging Well. I am also the author of: The Groovy Green Kitchen (Volume 1): Weeknight Veggie Slow Cooker. Third Chapter, Second Chance (a mid-life romance). Not Just for Vegetarians: Delicious Homestyle Cooking, the Meatless Way and the poetry collections: Haiku Reflections: The Four Seasons (Volumes I, II and III) and My Poetic Path. These titles are available at all the Amazon sites. 1. Great review you wrote on blogger.

  2. Love your new blog header, Geraldine!!!

I left a comment on your review blog.

  3. Great review, as usual. Now I really want to read this book, especially this new edition.

Your new summer header and look here is so cool. Very nice.

  4. Thanks Carol! Happy Long Weekend too. πŸ™‚

Thank you Ron and for sharing re: the incident at work about this book and also about the movie. Now I vaguely remember seeing parts of that film, a long time ago. The book was so much better I think.

I think you’ll find the book very interesting Joe. And yes, it was time for a summery look here I thought. πŸ˜‰
