Three Haiku Poems on the Cusp of Summer

Summer has certainly been “in the air” here in BC, in the past couple of weeks.

We reached 34C, one day last week and more warm weather is apparently on the way, very soon.

Right now we are having a bit of a cool spell, with rain and that’s welcome too. 🙂 Takes care of all the dust!

Hope you enjoy these three summer haiku/haiga from the archives, celebrating all things to come. It’s going to be a good summer, I just know it! 😉

Have a Wonderful Week!

  1. Oh Geraldine, these photographs are faaabulous! And so perfectly matched with your haiku’s! I love the all, but the one of the shell on the sand is spectacular! I REALLY like the focus!

It’s been the same here. Today was very warm and I hear that for the next several days the temps. are going to climb to 91 degrees!

Yup, summer is on its way!

Have a delightful week, my friend!

  2. i am thinking about combining some of my photos and poems.

  3. I love the photos and your perfect summer haiku, Geraldine! And you remind me that I need a new bike! 🙂 We’ve had June gloom in May for the past few weeks but I’m not complaining because without air conditioning the real hot heat melts me. We’ll get some portable ac’s this summer. It’s time. Enjoy the cool and warm weather, my friend. Hugs

  4. Love the haikus and the photos too. Summer is definitely in the air.

  5. Thanks for your very kind comment Ron.

I like the shell one most of all too. I’m a true beach person and the beautiful shell and this poem bring such good thoughts and memories to mind for me! 😉

Thanks Lauren. Isn’t that a cool bike in this photo? I noted it at our local city hall one day and thought it would be perfect with a summer haiku. I hope you find a perfect bike soon. Nice to see you again!

Thanks Joe, yes summer definitely is hovering!!! 😉

    Have a wonderful weekend, G

  6. I enjoyed all three, but I think the middle one was my favorite!

  7. I love them all: but the last one is my favorite. I can feel the waves beckoning me back to search for shells. Hugs! 🙂
