Why I’m Back at Lumosity :-)

Lumosity, have you given it a try? 😉

VEGGIES, YARNS & TAILS

A few years ago, I postedthis reviewabout Lumosity, a popular brain-training site.

After I posted that review at My Real Life Reviews, I continued with the program for just over a year.

I found it helpful and saw a definite improvement in my brain functioning overall.

But what I didn’t enjoy at that time was the same games showing up for my training sessions, again and again and again. I wrote to Lumosity customer service about this issue a couple of times and was assured by them that they were working on several new games and that they would be available to their members in the near future.

But that didn’t happen as quickly as I hoped and after a while, I got to a point that I was so bored by the repetition of these same games and gave up my membership.

But in the past few…

  1. I have played Big Fish games for years but know nothing about luminosity. Big Fish has their own website where you can download TRY IT for each game and use for 1 hour up to 2 hours to see if you like it before purchasing. After I have played the trial period, I rarely buy anything as I have had my fill.

  2. I’m glad to be back there too. Lots of new games now, that’s a big improvement.

  3. I haven’t tried this, Geraldine, but want to someday. Although now with English writing and reading, my brain is stimulated again. 🙂 Have a blessed week..

  4. I don’t know if Lumosity still provides a free trial, but when they did it was for 2 weeks, which I think is more than generous. I am SO glad to be back there, my scores continue to improve and I know overall that it helps me to think better and react faster, etc…in other areas of my life. Definitely worth checking out Rose and I will also take a look at the Big Fish site, sounds intriguing. 😉

Yes Joe, definitely an improvement, so many new games and most of them, I REALLY like. They did good!!!

The thing about Lumosity is that the games provide “exercise” for numerous types of brain activity, I appreciate that. If you stop by their site, they explain about the science behind what they do. Millions of users around the world are a good testament to this being a good program too. But I agree, going back to school is definitely a good way to give those brain cells a good workout too. 😉

    Have a wonderful weekend, G
