Blogging Update 2020 :-)

005-crop

I hope your New Year is off to a great start!

I’ve decided to take a hiatus from all blogging, for the foreseeable future.

May be back, may not. I’ve learned from past experience, never say never, especially when it comes to blogging.

Just too much to do and every day seems to go faster than the one before it. Trips to plan, including another big move, still working on unpacking and sorting here, numerous projects, writing, crafting….the list goes on and on.

My contact information at all my blogs, will remain active, including at My Real Life Reviews, re: review requests.

I wish all of my blog friends, past and present, the best year ever!

Craving Snow?

yearning haiku

A nice light “dusting” will do .😊

It’s been raining on and off, for days, here on Vancouver Island.

🎄 A White Christmas would be so nice!🎄

This photo and haiku is from years ago, when we lived in Interior BC.

How has your weather been?

Are you expecting a White Christmas?

Word of the Week: Share

candles

A holiday post (see below) from several years ago that came to mind today. From my “word of the week” series.

Christmas 🎄and sharing, they really do go hand in hand.

I feel truly blessed especially this year, to be living on beautiful Vancouver Island in our nice home and area.

As is usually the case , we will once again be helping out at one or more charity lunches. One of my long time Christmas traditions.

What is something you usually share during the holidays? Your time, talents….

My Poetic Path

I’ve always believed that it’s important and meaningful to share my talents, time  and when it’s possible belongings and other resources with people that  I know and also those I have yet to meet. Particularly those in dire need.

At this time of year, that belief is brought to mind on a daily basis. Joe and I plan to help out at various charitable dinners and events during the next few weeks. We also are buying some treats to supply to a local food bank, to distribute at Christmas time.

To share…what does it mean to you?

For me, it’s always brought unexpected and memorable rewards. It’s part of who I am. Having been through some difficult years personally, it’s even more relevant now. ♥

PS: Is there anything better than sharing food and recipes?

Here’s one of mine, a Cranberry Wheatgerm Muffin recipe you might enjoy! 🙂

Gorgeous Weather and a Haiku

hunch brought to mind

We’ve been having some beautiful warm days, here on Vancouver Island, after a lot of rain.

On days like these, it makes me feel happy just to gaze up at the skies!

This morning, this haiku also came to mind.

I’m facing some time at the dentist this afternoon (minor repairs!) so I need all the cheering up I can find.😏

Hope you are enjoying a great day, wherever you are.

🌾Hugs and Happy Week.🐦

Autumn Light and Words….

autumn leaves tau ku

….and a ???

When I was participating at a lot of poetry prompt blogs, years ago, this poetry style (with two syllables for the  second line) was one of my favorites.

Now, I can’t remember the name of that particular poetry form.

Any ideas?

Whatever it is, I hope you enjoy this encore!

PS:  I found the answer, right after I wrote this post, 😉 it’s called, Tau-Ku, you can read more about this type of poetry HERE.

Wishing You a Wonderful Week!
