Don’t you just love everything about Autumn?
Including the apples!!! 🙂
Hope you’ll enjoy my new Amazon eBook promotions (see info. below) for October and November.
The weather here on Vancouver Island has been just glorious for the past couple of weeks. I’m loving it!
Getting out for lots of walks and sunshine. Hopefully it will last a while.
Here’s hoping the forecast is right for a change!!!
I have a new fall Kindle promotion, starting today and continuing into November, for all of my current available eBooks.
Some FREE, some deeply discounted (.99 cent countdowns).
I recently wrote to KDP re: adding full-screen images to a Kindle book that Mr. Cheddar and I are currently working on. 😉
Regarding the full screen images:
The images would best fit to the any screen automatically, if you can change the source code of your HTML file.
Please follow the instructions for getting full image size on Kindle.
1. Open the parent HTML in Notepad.
2. You will be able to see the HTML code. Look out for the codes related to the images which look like the following
Edit the code like the following
Effectively, the text “width=366 height=248″ should be changed to “height=100% width=100%”.
3. Save the file.
4. Right-click a blank area on the desktop or in an open folder, point to New, and then click Compressed (zipped) Folder.
5. Type a name for the new compressed folder, and then press ENTER. Your new compressed folder is displayed as a folder icon with a zipper.
Now, move the image folder and the HTML file into the zipped folder. This zipped folder is what you will have to upload on the KDP website. You may try uploading the zipped folder on to the KDP website and check if the images appear correctly. Once uploaded, you can use the “Preview Book” button to view your uploaded content via the KDP Previewer. Here, you can view if the images appear correctly.
Today, I gave Notepad a try and I can’t say I was impressed so far. I tried looking through the code with JUST ONE PHOTO and that was bad enough. Does not seem very user-friendly, unless you are a HTML geek/geekess, which I am certainly NOT!! 😉
If anyone has any alternate suggestions (preferably with Word, which I am comfortable using) how to add FULL-SCREEN images to a Kindle book, please let me know.
And if you have succesfully used Notepad, I’d love to hear about that too.
The Groovy Green Kitchen Volume II is FINALLY a done deal!

This is a short but helpful eBook that I usually re-read a few times each week, via my Kindle Fire.
It is filled with inspiring quotes, lovely photos and with a beautiful presentation throughout.
I’m so glad I downloaded this eBook, it definitely does give me a pick-me-up and boost of optimism, every time I read through it. 🙂
Here’s my review from Amazon:
I happened to see this eBook on the Top 100 Self Help list at Amazon l am so glad that I downloaded it. Gorgeous photos and very inspiring and many original motivational quotes to refer to again and again. I plan to keep this on my kindle carousel as a pick me up choice when I need a smile or boost throughout the day. Just lovely.
