My poetry book is taking much too long to complete. I seem to be running into a number of small issues that are keeping me from getting this finished. My question today is about footers. I want to manually type in page numbers, possibly with some text and the page number. This is so that I can allow for chapter pages etc, that don’t need a footer or page number. I’m stumped!
I’m using OpenOffice 3.3 and otherwise, I think it’s a good program for word processing, so far at least. I just started using it about a week ago. Quite user-friendly.
But I can’t figure out how to define footer-page numbers without them reverting back to the same text of a previous footer/page.
Why there’s no manual override for something as simple as footers, I don’t know. I read quite a few frustrated comments online about this very same issue.
If anyone can explain how to set different footer-text/page numbers, manually in OpenOffice, I’d be very grateful for your help.

PS: For some reason, WP is not allowing me to change the text in this post to black instead of the default grey (that comes with this template, why I don’t know. Black is always better IMO for a font color) Anyhoo….I tried 3 times to make it all black/uniform but I’m giving up.
Taking up more time that could be used better elsewhere LOL! 😉
