Book Review: A Body at Bunco (Myrtle Clover cozy mystery series)

A BODY AT BUNCO BY ELIZABETH SPANN CRAIG

This story was a real treat and also brought some happy memories to mind for me.

Many years ago, my dear mom hosted bunco parties. I can still remember sneaking out of bed to see what was going on, with all these ladies moving around our living room; laughing, eating and throwing dice! 😉

If you like cozy mysteries with memorable main characters and lots of twists and turns, check out my latest review.

Happy Reading and Week!

VEGGIES, YARNS & TAILS

Nuns on the Run

A few months ago, I posted about one of my fav movies (Matinee) and a brand of organic popcorn I like, you can read that post here.

Thought it would be fun to share another comedy fav movie with you today, this one starring a couple of very talented Brits, Robbie Coltrane and Eric Idle.

Nuns on the Run:

is one of the funniest movies I’ve ever seen and it’s one that I’ve watched many, many times too. It’s that kind of movie. And for me, it’s been just as funny on the re-viewing as it was the first time, even though I already know what’s going to happen next. 😉

Brian (Eric Idle) and Charlie (Robbie Coltrane) are small-time criminals who are fed up with their lives of crime and are now on the run from not only their gangster boss but also the police and the…

Product Review: My Seven Year Pen (It’s Still Going Strong!!) ;-)

I first reviewed the Seven Year Pen (click to read review) back in 2011, over at my review blog: My Real Life Reviews.

it then and almost 4 years later, I still do. 😉

I have 3 of these pens now and have given some for gifts too. My first one is still going strong and I use it on a regular basis.

Another thing I like about these pens (as one person also commented about in the original review) being a “south-paw” it’s hard to find pens that have fast drying ink that doesn’t smear, when writing with your left hand. These pens are great in this respect as well.

Apparently, over 100 MILLION pens end up in landfills each year!!! 😦

That’s a staggering number and such a waste. The Seven Year Pen is definitely a “green-step” in the right direction. 🙂

If you haven’t tried one yet, you can purchase them here (prices vary at Amazon, $5-9… depending on the style/color you choose).

They are also available at Chapters/Indigo stores, in Canada and at the Seltzer company website.

If you have tried one of these pens, do share your experience!

Desktop Dazzler!

Does a photo ever show up on your desktop background that just stops you in your tracks? For me, it’s usually a snow pic, such as the one above. I never tire of them it seems. It’s snowing here in BC as I type this. I predicted one more “dump” before spring arrives and it seems that might happen. It’s all good.

I am really enjoying my new blogs over at:

www.takeahappybreak.com

www.myreallifereviews.com

and will be posting over at these two new blogs on a regular basis.

I hope you will add me to your blogrolls, readers etc… and visit often.

I continue to have quite a few visitors here and at Veggies… (people always looking for vegetarian recipes in particular!) so I will be keeping these blogs both up as well, just not posting on a regular basis, for the foreseeable future.

I’m even getting to like Blogger! Both platforms have their good and bad points, based on my experience. It’s been good to try them both and of course the learning never stops!

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend and I look forward to seeing you at my two new online homes soon. To all of you who have already stopped in for a visit, thank you! It’s great to see you there. Also, a lot of new visitors from all over the world already so that’s been very encouraging as well.

Hugs, G 🙂
