Sensible
Some very wise words to start my day today, thanks to “ME and the Boss”.
I hope you find them helpful too.
Have a great week. đ
.
âEvery day we should
hear at least one little song,
read one good poem,
see one exquisite picture,
and, if possible,
speak a few sensible words.â
.
~ Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
.
Always headlong into
must do this for the family,
must do that for the boss,
donât wait until you retire,
today, do something for yourself.
There is always time, a second or two,
that you can squeeze into your day to do
something nice for yourself,
if you just take the time.
Happiness is a few sensible words.
Happiness is helping someone help themselves.

Word of the Week: Wisdom
When it comes to our animal pals, owls have always been thought of as a symbol of wisdom. đ
Here are a couple of reasons why owls are considered wise, from Yahoo answers:
-Back in the old days when people paid attention to such things, they noticed that owls stay quiet, keep their eyes open and strike quickly.
-Owls were sacred to Minerva, the Greek goddess of wisdom (among other things) so that her reputation rubbed off on them.
This gorgeous grey owl photo is one that I have on a note card I purchased a while back, from:
(click to see the card and visit her lovely Etsy photographic shop)
I am just enchanted by this photograph. I hope you enjoy it too.
We can learn a lot from birds and other animals, can’t we?Â
Here’s to a week filled with wisdom and wonder! đ

This Too, Shall Pass
How true! I love this quote. Have a great weekend, G đ
Word of the Week: Perception
From a distance, a “time out” from our usual routine thoughts… what do we perceive?
“Perception appears to be automatic, but in fact it is a learned phenomenon. The world you live in including the experience of your body, is completely dictated by how you learned to perceive it. If you can change your perception, you change the experience of your body and your world.”
from the book:
Ageless Body. Timeless Mind by Deepak Chopra

What a hopeful and inspiring message this is.
I read this book several years ago; it’s one that I can highly recommend. đ
Written many years ago, but the insights and wisdom of this author still ring true.Â

Words of Wisdom: A “Birdie” Proverb :<)
Wisdom from the Birds
” You cannot stop the birds of sadness from flying over your head, but you can stop them from nesting in your hair.”
A Chinese proverb that I really like. As always, birds can teach us so much, even indirectly.
This is an archive post from my Happy Break blog.
I thought it was a perfect fit for Sunday’s upcoming prompt at OSI: Nest
Sometimes it’s nice to re-visit a favorite post, isn’t it? đ
