I first reviewed the Seven Year Pen (click to read review) back in 2011, over at my review blog: My Real Life Reviews.
I ♥ it then and almost 4 years later, I still do. 😉
I have 3 of these pens now and have given some for gifts too. My first one is still going strong and I use it on a regular basis.
Another thing I like about these pens (as one person also commented about in the original review) being a “south-paw” it’s hard to find pens that have fast drying ink that doesn’t smear, when writing with your left hand. These pens are great in this respect as well.
Apparently, over 100 MILLION pens end up in landfills each year!!! 😦
That’s a staggering number and such a waste. The Seven Year Pen is definitely a “green-step” in the right direction. 🙂
If you haven’t tried one yet, you can purchase them here (prices vary at Amazon, $5-9… depending on the style/color you choose).
They are also available at Chapters/Indigo stores, in Canada and at the Seltzer company website.
If you have tried one of these pens, do share your experience!

We don’t know the pens, but they look fine. Granny is a pen lover too and I have a pen of my own. I think mine will live forever, because I hardly use it 🙂 Pawkisses for a Happy Weekend ahead and one Extra for Mr Cheddar 🙂 ❤

Haven’t tried one of these, but sure looks like a good thing to look into and invest in. I don’t like cheap pens that don’t last, are uncomfortable in my hand and run out of ink or don’t write when needed. Thanks for the tip, Geraldine.

Geraldine, I have not heard of or tried one of these but they look like such FUN pens! And I’m all about having the proper pen to write with because they each feel completely different in your hand. There are some pens that I will pick up and they instantly feel good in my hand. Others, not so much.
Thanks so much for sharing, my friend. I’ll definitely check them out 🙂
Hope you had a terrific Thursday!

I have one of these pens and it works great. I like that they last a long time. Other pens are such a waste.

Mr. Cheddar thinks it’s super cool that you have your own pen Angel !!! Now he wants one too. 😉 Any particular catty brand you can recommend.? 😉
I think you’d like these Joyce. They not only last a long time, they write smoothly too and as I’ve mentioned above, the ink dries super fast.
They ARE such fun pens Ron, so many themes and bright colors to pick from. I have a bright orange one I’m using right now, with chili peppers on it, for my cookbook work, of course! 🙂 Let me know if you get one!
Joe, I’m so glad your black 7 year pen, lightening bolt is still going strong, nice!!!
Happy Writing and Reading! G
